Time required
The recommended duration of your stay for Filmstadt Combination (Filmstadt Guided Tour, 4 D Motion Ride) is approximately 2 hours.
At the ticket office you will be given a fix starting-time.
4 D Motion Ride restrictions
If you are less than 1,20m tall or taller than 2,00m, if you are pregnant, if you have heart-, neck- and/or backproblems, if you have a tendency to get seasick or if you have recently had surgery, then you are unfortunately not allowed to visit the 4 D Motion Ride.
Clothing
A lot of attractions on the Guided Tour are outdoors. Please make sure to wear comfortable shoes and proper clothing for all weather conditions. The sets are not heated.
Watch out for „And Action!“
You are visiting a working area, where we are shooting every day. Therefore it might happen, that we are not able to see a particular setting.
Starting time during off season
During our off-season there is at least one Guided Tour per hour (depending on the number of visitors).

Dogs are welcome at Bavaria Filmstadt!
Dogs are allowed on a leash during the Filmstadt tour. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the 4D cinema. Bavaria Filmstadt borders directly on Perlacher Forest, making it the perfect place to walk your dog before or after your visit to Filmstadt. All dog owners who visit Filmstadt with their four-legged friends will receive a small gift at the Filmstadt ticket office. In addition, there are four water bars and a central dog waste bag dispenser in the entrance area.

Attention, children
Now it's time to slide and climb in the entrance area of Bavaria Filmstadt. An impressive outdoor play tower in the shape of the letter "B" awaits the little guests of Filmstadt. Right next to the catering area and within sight of their parents, children can play to their hearts' content.
The large "B" is both a landmark and a playful experience and was designed and built for Bavaria Filmstadt by the Kristallturm company from Lenggries.
Backed goods & Costa Coffee
In the Filmstadt Shop you will find a small selection of backed goods (sweet and savoury) and hot drinks from Costa Coffee – simply delicious!
The Filmstadt Shop is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Foodtruck offer 2025
In addition to the offer in the store, you will find a food truck in the entrance area of Bavaria Filmstadt on selected days during the core hours from 11.30 a.m. to approx. 4 p.m.
