The Bavaria Film City is open every day, including weekends and holidays. On 24 and 25 December is the Bavaria film studios closed.

Discount for public transport (MVV)
Holders of a valid MVV Single-Day-Pass Innenraum, München XXL, Außenraum or Gesamtnetz can get a 1,00€ discount for single visitors on the Filmstadt Guided Tour and Filmstadt Complete (on presentation of the MVV-pass at the ticket office).
Rebates can not be combined with other discounts.
Many attractions on the Guided Tour are outdoors. Please make sure to wear comfortable shoes and proper clothing for all weather conditions.
Your dog is welcome if put on a leash at all times. Unfortunately, the product Filmstadt Complete does not allow dogs.

Limitations for a ride with the 4D Motion Simulation Cinema:

We recommend to plan with approx. 4hrs for the Filmstadt Complete (Filmstadt Guided Tour, Bullyversum, 4D Motion Simulation Cinema).
You will receive a distinctive starting time for the Filmstadt Guided Tour incl. 4D Motion Simulation Cinema at the ticket office. A visit to the Bullyversum however is possible at any time.
During the high season the 4 D action cinema experience will be available at 1 pm in English followed by an English language tour. Further details will be given to you on sight at the cash point.

Cable car line 25 to Grünwald, exit at Bavariafilmplatz. From there it’s a 10minute walk. Please also use the MVV-journey planner online.
from Munich: head for Grünwald/Bad Tölz
from Grünwald: head for Munich on Südliche Münchner Straße, in Grünwald simply follow the signposting „Bavaria Filmstadt“.
Please enter “Geiselgasteig” as town and “Bavariafilmstraße”, intersection “Lil-Dagover-Ring” as street into your route planner. Right before you reach your destination you will find the entrance to our parking area.
Due to an underbridge the passage from Munich Centre through Grünwalder- / Geiselgasteigstraße is not possible for vehicles taller than 3,60m.
Alternative route: Mittlerer Ring Süd, onto A995 München-Giesing towards Salzburg, exit Oberhaching, then onto highway to Grünwald, head for Munich.
Coming from out of town: bypass motorway München A99, at interchange München-Süd (Brunnthal) merge onto E54 (A995) towards München-Giesing, exit at Oberhaching.
